Linux has an interesting command-line program that lets you play music files on the current machine.
the playlist is text and you can create for example this:
find ~ / Music / *-type f-name '*. mp3'> ~ / Music/Playlist.m3u and listen with this command mpg123 - @ ~ / Playlist.m3u this is very interesting because the generation of playlist could be carried for example be automated with a web interface useful in an office where most people would have access to a lot sharing music files and collaborate in the decision playlist.
